"Masters of Disguise" photographed by Olivia Bee & styled by Jorden Bickham for Vogue
I have always loved the element of transformation in fashion, and these photographs quickly show us how each designer and label featured can extract the essence of his/her style into something as small as a mask, and then transform the individual wearing it.
We have a haunting but beautiful contribution from Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, festive flowers from Dolce & Gabbana, and rebellious punk rock from Jean Paul Gaultier. Each photo also stays true to the essences mentioned above, and the combination of work from the designer, stylist, photographer, and model truly shows how a fashion photograph isn’t magnificent until all four artists understand each other in a harmonious way. Once this understanding is reached, the completed product can be breathtaking.
